Natalia is an American girl studying in a German school in Germany. She volunteered to conduct interviews with five of her fellow classmates. 8. Beschreiben Sie einen typischen Schultag.
Ich stehe um 6 Uhr in der Früh auf und mache mich für die Schule fertig; ich fahre mit dem Bus und danach mit der Straßenbahn in die Schule; um 7:45 Uhr fängt dann die erste Stunde an; eine Unterrichtsstunde dauert bei uns 50 Minuten; je nachdem endet die Schule um 13:15 Uhr, 14:15 Uhr oder auch um 15:05 Uhr; dann fahre ich wieder nach Hause

9. Was ist Ihr Lieblingsfach? Welches Fach moegen Sie am wenigsten?
TKMM (Programmieren); BW (Betriebswirtschaft)

10. Was ist gerade "in" in der Damenmode? Und in der Herrenmode?
Eigentlich gibt es zurzeit nicht wirklich etwas, was "in" ist, außer Jeans, aber die sind immer in Mode.

11. Welche Sportarten moegen die Jungen? Welche Sportarten moegen die Maedchen?
Fußball; Volleyball

12. Was ist das neueste Wort in der Umgangssprache? Was bedeutet es?
cool; bedeutet: lässig, super

13. Was ist Ihre deutsche Lieblingsspeise?
Wienerschnitzel

14. Was machen Sie am Wochenende?
Fortgehen, Kino gehen, mit Freunden treffen

Man lernt viele Leute kennen; es ist viel Verkehr.

Bianca; in Italian it means "white."

2. How old are you? 17

3. Which city and country are you from?
Graz, Austria

4. What is your country known for? What is your city known for?
It is known for skiing and wine; culture capital of 2003.

5. What is your country's official language? Do you speak other languages?
German; yes, English and Italian

6. What is your favorite German book? What is your favorite German movie?
I don’t have a favorite book; I don’t like German movies.

7. What are your two favorite German songs? Who are your favorite German musicians?
Geile Zeit, Gekommen um zu bleiben; Juli, Wir sind Helden -> I can’t translate this song title and the name from the musicians!

8. Describe a typical day at school.
I get up at 6 o’clock in the morning and get ready for school; I go by bus and tram to school; the first lesson starts at 7.45 am; one lesson take 50 minutes; after a lesson we have for 5 minutes a break, after school I went home; the time when the school ends is different; sometimes the school ends at 1.15 pm, 2.14 pm or 3.05 pm

9. Which school subject do you like the most? Why? Which subject do you dislike the most? Why?
TKMM (program), I like this subject because I can be very creative; BW (business administration), I don’t like this subject very much, because sometimes it is very boring.

10. What is in fashion for girls this season? What is in fashion for boys?
I think that jeans are ever the in fashion for boys and girls.

11. What kind of sports do the boys like? What sports do the girls like?
Soccer, volleyball

12. What is the most recent slang word or phrase? What does it mean?
Cool and it means casual, super

13. What is your favorite German food/dish?
Wienerschnitzel

14. What do you do during the weekend?
I go out, I meet my friends or I go to the cinema

15. When you go out with your friends, how do you go? By bus? By motobike? By car? On foot?
I go out with my friends at the weekend; by bus or by car

16. If an American student came to (your city), where would you take him/her?
I would show him/her the sights from Graz, for example: Schlossberg, Herrengasse, Zeughaus, Murinsel ... And in the evening I take him/her with me when I go out with my friends.

17. How do you say "Thank you" in German?
Danke!

18. What do you like about living in your city? What don’t you like?
I like living in my city, because I know a lot of people, because my friends live there and you can do many things. I don’t like the traffic in my city, because there are a lot of cars.

19. What do you think of Americans?
Americans are very nice and helpful, but they eat a lot of fat things.
