Students of less commonly taught languages (LCTLs) discussed how classroom techniques and assignments helped or hurt their struggles to learn. Teachers may be surprised to hear what activities students want MORE of in language classes. This interactive session allows presenters and participants to share print, electronic materials as well as realia that have been have been adapted or developed by teachers for use in Arabic classrooms. Participants are provided with materials that they can use in their own classrooms and programs.

Arabic Language Teacher Training: Lessons Learned

The workshop highlights the use of Standards to align curriculum and develop materials for Arabic language programs.
